Pension St. Maria - Staré Hory

The little Pension St. Maria is located 15 km north Banska Bystrica, in the Velka Fatra and Nizke TatryLow Tatras national park and consists of 2 buildings, a garden with a creek in the middle. It offers an exterior Finnish sauna, a hot tub and free Wi-Fi, as well as free bikes.

During summer time, light salads, grilled fish, chicken steak, home-made sausages, chilli goulash or delicious pancakes can be enjoyed and in winter you can taste fine Slovak and Hungarian specialities. A 200-yr old wine cellar can be found on site and wine tastings can be enjoyed.

In the vicinity you can find a swimming pool, a tennis court, a football field and a fitness centre.

Various adrenaline sports like, paragliding, climbing, walking on rope paths and others are offered to adventurous guests and for kids there is the fairy-tale village of Pavol Dobsinsky. The St. Maria guest house is also an ideal base for hiking and mountain biking in the scenic landscape of the national park. The ski resort Park snow Donovaly is 10 km away.
